Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

DBT is a psychiatric treatment designed to help manage emotional responses away from self-destructive behaviors. The goal of this therapy is to learn mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. These strategies work on replacing harmful behaviors with life-enhancing ones.

DBT can use both individual psychotherapy and group therapy to treat the patient’s mental health needs.
