Trauma Focused Therapy (including EMDR)
Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR therapy is a psychotherapy approach that can be used to treat many clinical issues, including: panic attacks, anxiety, personality disorders, PTSD, and many more. EMDR helps patients heal from the emotional distress of disturbing life experiences and trauma.
The therapy is related to how Rapid Eye Movement (REM) works during sleep and uses eye movements combined with empowering changes in the emotions related to the traumatic event.
